RV Series Selection Summary
RV025–RV050 cover compact worm gear motor applications from approximately 0.06 to 1.5 kW, with typical ratios from 5 to 100 and center distances of 25–50 mm. RV063–RV090 cover approximately 0.18 to 4.0 kW, with typical ratios from 7.5 to 100 and center distances of 63–90 mm. RV110–RV150 cover approximately 0.55 to 15 kW, with typical ratios from 7.5 to 100 and center distances of 110–150 mm.
For replacement or OEM selection, confirm output torque, ratio, shaft or bore dimensions, mounting position, motor interface and duty cycle. The dimensional table below shows common options; the final model and drawing must be confirmed for the actual application.

Worm Gear Motor FAQ
Common selection questions for matched worm gearbox and motor assemblies.
What is a worm gear motor?
A worm gear motor combines an electric motor with a right-angle worm gearbox to reduce output speed and increase available output torque in a compact drive assembly.
What is a worm gear reducer motor or worm gearbox motor?
Both terms describe a matched electric motor and worm reducer drive. The suitable configuration depends on your output speed, torque, duty, mounting and electrical supply.
What information is needed to select a worm drive gearbox with motor?
Please provide required output speed and torque, motor voltage and frequency, operating hours, starts per hour, mounting position, shaft or flange arrangement, application and quantity.
Can the motor and gearbox be ordered separately?
Yes, depending on the required configuration. SMK can supply a matched assembly or help confirm compatible motor-flange, input and output dimensions for separately ordered components.
