Quick answer: NMRV150, also called RV150, is a large aluminum right-angle worm reducer. The illustrated configuration uses a 50 mm hollow output bore and standard ratios from 7.5:1 to 100:1. Motor input bore and flange must be matched to the selected motor, ratio, output torque, thermal duty, service factor and mounting position.

NMRV150 Dimensions and Technical Reference

The NMRV150 worm gearbox is commonly considered for industrial drives that need a larger output shaft, a compact 90-degree layout and substantial speed reduction. The supplied drawing shows the principal installation interfaces for one configuration.

SpecificationIllustrated NMRV150 / RV150 reference
Overall height330 mm
Overall length292.5 mm
Base width155 mm
Hollow output boreØ50 mm
Standard ratios7.5–100:1
HousingAluminum alloy
Configuration limit: Dimensions, input bores, motor powers and flanges shown here are reference combinations. They do not mean every ratio, motor, flange and operating condition can be freely combined. Confirm the approved drawing and rating for the final assembly.

RV150 Output Bore: What Does 50 mm Mean?

A typical RV150 configuration uses a 50 mm hollow output bore. This is the gearbox output interface, not automatically the motor shaft diameter. For replacement work, compare the output shaft, keyway, tolerance, flange pilot, bolt pattern and mounting dimensions before ordering.

NMRV150 Ratios and Theoretical Output Speed

Common ratios include 7.5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80 and 100:1.

Theoretical output speed = motor rated speed ÷ gearbox ratio

Example assumption: 1400 rpm motor with a 50:1 ratio.

1400 ÷ 50 = approximately 28 rpm

RatioTheoretical output speed with a 1400 rpm motor
10:1140 rpm
20:170 rpm
30:146.7 rpm
50:128 rpm
80:117.5 rpm
100:114 rpm

Actual speed varies with motor slip, load, frequency and operating conditions. Use the worm gearbox ratio and torque calculator for an initial estimate, then verify torque and thermal capacity against the approved selected model.

NMRV150 Motor Flange Options

The illustrated round-flange combinations include the following input-side references:

Input boreIllustrated motor-power examplesIllustrated flange outside diameters
28 mm2.2 / 3 / 4 kWØ160 small / Ø250 large
38 mm5.5 / 7.5 kWØ200 small / Ø300 large
42 mm11 / 15 kWØ350 large

For servo or stepper drives, the drawing shows square-adapter references of 130 mm and 180 mm. The actual motor drawing is required to confirm shaft diameter, pilot diameter, bolt centers and adapter fit.

How to Select an NMRV150

Confirm motor power, rated speed, voltage and frequency; required continuous and peak torque; output rpm; operating hours; service factor; output shaft; motor flange; mounting position and application. The NMRV size guide from RV25 to RV150, conveyor gearbox selection page and service-factor guide provide useful checks.
